Help Sturgill Stay

sturgillHELP STURGILL STAY!

“But who is Sturgill?”, you may be asking. Sturgill is a Moose! A magnificent, life-size driftwood sculpture of a male moose created by local FSJ artist Michelle Pringle as a piece of her Drifters collection. Michelle uses driftwood from Williston Lake to create one of a kind masterpieces, and we want him for our very own! Sturgill is currently a part of Peace Gallery North’s February exhibit, My Canada, and has drawn a great deal of attention from everyone who has seen him. Did we mention he is LIFE-SIZE?!

North Peace Cultural Centre want Sturgill to stay right where he is and become a signature piece in our permanent collection. We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary in 2017 and what better way to do that than adopt Sturgill?  But we need your help!

We are asking for the community to donate, and collectively become the owners in this public art initiative with the North Peace Cultural Centre as custodians. Our goal is $5,000 and for a minimum donation of $25 you will receive a tax receipt to the value of your donation and recognition of your contribution posted next to Sturgill, who will be on permanent display outside Peace Gallery North. Let’s celebrate the arts and local talent in our community together.
